The Inverell FC Premier League 1st Grade Team have now positioned themselves at the top of the competition ladder just weeks before the finals after downing Armidale Westside United FC on the weekend.
It was a tight match though the Inverell side crossed the line 2-1 with now only 1 point separating the top 4, however Coach Damien Schulz is now confident more than ever the team will gain a Minor Premiership.
Meanwhile, the Premier League Reserve Grade Team played their match against Westside with a convincing 3-1 win.
The Armidale League 3rd and 4th grade teams played against The Glen Innes Highlanders, the 4th grade team claiming victory 2-1 however the 3rd grade team couldn’t match the strength of the Glen Innes side, going down 4-1, while The Armidale Women’s Premier League team drew their game 1-1 against the Souths Stars last Friday.
