It was a clean sweep weekend with all 5 teams from Inverell FC dominating their games.
The Women’s Armidale Premier League team managed to scrape through a 3-2 win over the South Stars, braving the cold in Armidale on Friday evening and the Armidale League 3rd and 4th graders were in Guyra on Saturday up against the Spuds where both teams walked away with a 2-0 victory.
Meanwhile the Premier League 1st and reserves played hosts for the final time after 7 wks at home, the reserves thumping visitors Sth Tamworth FC 6-1 while the 1sts coasted through with a 4-0 win.
Coach Damien Schulz says though despite down in player numbers and the team feeling the pinch after almost double the number of games played over the opposing teams in the competition, he’s satisfied his team has the goods to go all the way to the finals.
The 1st and reserve grade premier league teams now hit the road to Tamworth this weekend to play the Hillview Rovers, while the Women’s team go up against the mighty Armidale Westside team and Armidale 3rd and 4ths host Armidale City Westside FC White at the complex.
