The trend in crime in Inverell seem to be on a downward spiral according to Inspector of Inverell Police Blake Keating.

Inspector Keating says recent monitoring in crime trends in Inverell have found numerous weeks in the past month where there’s been zero reports of crime including assaults, frauds, retail thefts and motor vehicle accidents.

He says he’s particularly happy with the response from judicial system and the local magistrate who seem to be listening to community concerns and ensuring repeat offenders are locked up and not out in the community.
