After the distribution of preferences and official declaration of the poll, nine candidates have been elected to represent the residents of Inverell Shire as Councillors for the next four years.
The newly elected Councillors are Fiona Brown, Kate Dight, Paul Harmon, Ian Hooker, Greg Kachel, Paul King, Jacko Ross, Wendy Wilks and Jo Williams.
The Councillors will attend their initial procedural Council Meeting on Wednesday 9th October, where they will recite the Councillor oath or affirmation and conduct the Mayoral Election.
Council will then meet again, on Wednesday 30th of October, for the first Ordinary Council Meeting of this council term.
