Inverell Shire Council have agreed on a preferred tender to manage the Inverell and Ashford Swimming Pools following Wednesday’s Council Meeting
Inverell Shire Mayor Paul Harmon says three tenders had been received by Council with each of the tenders being rejected before deciding to negotiate with their preferred party.
Mayor Harmon expects to release the details of the tender to public in the next few weeks adding pools are very expensive to run but an important piece of important infrastructure for the community.
Cr Harmon says Council wanted to have tenders in place now so they can bring their expertise to the town and have everything in place ahead of the pool reopening later in the year.
He says this preferred tender will bring value for money.
