The future of the Inverell Chamber of Commerce and Industry is uncertain with a meeting scheduled for next month to focus to how to recruit new members to the executive committee.
Secretary Jenny Thomas says the Chamber is currently facing a significant challenge, with only two members expressing interest in executive positions at the Annual General Meeting in August.
Former Chamber president Monique Krauss was unable to continue in the role earlier this year due to personal work commitments.
Mrs Thomas says the existing members wat to continue supporting and strengthening the local business community and require motivated members to step forward and help rebuild a strong, active committee.
She says they need to restore momentum, inspire engagement, and ensure the Chamber remains a valuable voice for Inverell businesses.
Interested parties wanting to be part of the Chamber are asked to attend their meeting at the Union Bar on Tuesday morning 20th October from 7:30.
