Inverell Shire Council Mayor Kate Dight says the revamped Inverell Aquatic centre will offer more employment opportunities.

Mayor Dight says Belgravia Leisure Pty Ltd, who manages both the Ashford and Inverell pool facilities, will offer 45 new jobs when the Inverell Aquatic centre is operational next year.

Mrs Dight says Council have extended Belgravia’s management contract for both facilities for a further 5 years which she sees as an exciting opportunity.

She says Katherine Forman and Alex Simmons from Belgravia gave a presentation to Council recently identifying the services, facility programs and operational experience relating to core aspects of their daily operations to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Inverell Aquatic Centre
