Inverell’s Holy Trinity School Agriculture students are celebrating a wonderful result from their trip to Beef Week in Casino last week
The AG Show team picked up the Champion School Steer, Champion Heavyweight and Grand Champion Steer ribbons.
10 students from Year 9 and 10 made the trip over to Casino with three steers with the winning steer named KST-Smokey bred by Kate and Sarah Townend at Gilgai which was donated for the school’s agriculture program.
Smokey went on to be sold to Smiths Butchery in Casino.
The school also took two steers from Alsace Stud owned by the Devlin family.
Holy Trinity’s Primary Industries and Agriculture teacher Kathy Townsend says the school is extreme proud of the student’s efforts.
