Holy Trinity School Inverell has enjoyed tremendous success in the led steer competition at the Brisbane Exhibition.
A steer exhibited by the school won both the Champion ‘On the Hoof’ and ‘On the Hook’ sections in the Heavyweight class of the led steer competition at the Ecka.
The black Limousin steer was purchased by Nash Tome, a former student at Holy Trinity, at the Colin Say and Company’s 16 annual Potential Show Steer sale in March this year.
He scored 91 points on the hook – the same as the Reserve Champion steer, however estimated lean meat yield points separated the two steers
