Highlanders Heading in the Right Direction Despite Loss

by | Jun 22, 2026 | Sport

Inverell Highlanders have gone down to Narrabri Blue Boars 31-22 not without a fight in a tough contest in Round 11 action in the Central North Rugby competition.

1st grade coach Gemma Noller says she’s proud of her team’s efforts, adding it was a great team performance and the thing they’ve been working on is now coming to fruition.

Noller says there’s still areas to tidy up and they’re definitely heading in the right direction as they get into the second half of the season

In other results, Moree Bulls walloped Gunnedah Red Devils 121-17, and reigning premiers Quirindi Lion got back on the winner list following a 55-14 win over Pirates

Inverell Highlanders Reserve grade went down 39-17 while the Women forfeited against the Narrabri Blue Boars.
