Another big test awaits the Inverell Highlanders who hit the road to Tamworth to tackle Pirates who are both battling it for a finals berth in the Central North Rugby Competition.
The Highlanders currently sit in 4th spot on the points table while Pirates are in 5th place, seven points behind.
Highlanders’ 1st Grade Gemma Noller is expecting a fast and physical match and is impressed by how her team has consistently performed in recent weeks and adapted to different styles of play from their opposition.
Noller says their focus this week will be their defence and stopping Pirates momentum.
In other games, it’s a top of the table clash with the Moree Bulls hosting the Narrabri Blue Boars while Gunnedah Red Devils are at home to reigning premiers the Quirindi Lions.
