by | May 4, 2026 | Sport

Inverell Highlanders have missed an opportunity to score a win on home turf after they went down 39-34 to the Narrabri Blue Boars on Saturday in Round 4 action in the central North Rugby competition.

1st grade coach Gemma Noller says it’s disappointing to have the game decided by the whistle but was believes her team should take pride out of their performance.

Noller says the backline created problems for the Blue Boars while their forwards gave more than previous weeks adding they’ll take many positives out of the game.

In other results, Moree Bulls thumped Gunnedah Red Devils 45-10 while the Quirindi Lions showed they haven’t got a premiership hangover after belting Pirates 64-19.

Inverell Highlanders went down 19-15  in Reserve Grade and 74-0 in the Women’s game.
