Firefighters from Northern Tablelands will continue to take advantage of the favourable weather conditions to undertake much needed Hazard Reduction Works ahead of the approaching fire season.
From this morning, local crews assisted by NSW RFS North Eastern Area Command Mitigation Crews will complete a 13ha burn on the corner of Orchard Pl & the Gwydir Highway, with smoke to be visible from surrounding areas and may impact the Gwydir Highway.
Traffic control will be on site to help us keep everyone safe, with delays expected.
