The Inverell Hawks have sent a warning to their rivals with a solid 42-28 win over the Guyra Superspuds yesterday at the Guyra Sports complex in Group 19 rugby League action.

The win sees the Hawks leap into equal top spot on the A grade points table with the Glen Innes Magpies having a match in hand.

The Magpies also registered a big win over the Tingha Tigers on Saturday recording a 30-12 win at Mead Park.

In other games, the Uralla Tigers and the Warialda Wombats could be separated at full time finishing with a 28 all draw while the Moree Boomerangs accounted for Narwan Eels 40-18.

In ladies league tag results, Tingha Tigers were too good for Glen Innes 20-4, Guyra scrapped through against Inverell 20-16, Warialda beat Uralla 14-4 while Moree Boomerangs belted Narwan 60-0
