The Inverell Hawks have celebrated in jubilation after both the Men’s and U18s sides secured their minor semi final wins in Group 19 Rugby League action over the weekend.
The Men’s game saw the Bullets lead the game 16 NIL before the Hawks switched gears to bring the match to a draw by full-time 22 ALL, with the game going into extra time 10 mins a side resulting in the Hawks claiming victory 34-22.

The U18s Minor Semi Finals Game also saw a Hawks win, the boys eliminating Narwan from the competition 30-22, and rounding out the Minor Semi Finals games, the Narwan Eels Ladies League Tag took out Glen Innes 20-10.
Meanwhile in the Major Semi Final games, the Ladies Tag Plate saw the Wombats dominate the Boomerangs 22-16, the Tingha Tigers just scraped through in a nailbiter against the Bullets 12-10, the U18s saw Glen Innes ending Warialda’s hopes of a final winning 46-10, while in the Men’s game Warialda are through to the Grand Final 40-16, leaving the Rams to fight it put against the Hawks to determine who will play in the Grand Final.
