Group 19 Rugby League recommences after the Easter break with action kicking off tomorrow for the annual Anzac Day clash at Varley Oval with the Inverell Hawks taking on the Glen Innes Magpies.
In what’s anticipated to be in front of a massive crowd, the Inverell Hawks Rugby League Club is gearing up for one of the biggest days in the club’s history when they recognise former players of the 1975, 2000 and 2015 premiership winning teams as well as commemorate Anzac Day.
Hawks Coach Jamie McCormack says it’s an honour to be playing on such a special day but stressed the match against the Magpies will be a tough one and they will need to be at their very best to overcome them.
In other round 3 matches for scheduled for Saturday, Uralla Tigers travel to Moree to tackle the Boomerangs and the Walcha Roos are at home to the Narwan Eels while on Sunday the unbeaten Tingha Tigers host their first match of the year when they tackle the Guyra Super Spuds at Bob Ward Oval
