The Group 19 Rugby League Competition resumes this weekend with focus centering on Sunday’s big local derby at Varley Oval when reigning premiers the Inverell Hawks face the Tingha Tigers in Round 9 action.
The Hawks have an unblemished record this season, but the Tigers will be keen to cause an upset and build momentum into the second half of the season
Hawks 1st grade coach Jamie McCormack says they were lucky to escape with a 22-20 win at Tingha earlier this season and expects Sunday’s game to be very physical.
Matches kick off on Sunday at 1pm with the reserve grade clash followed by the 1st grade match at 2:15pm
In tomorrow’s games, Guyra Super Spuds are at home to the Uralla Tigers while the Barraba Bulldogs head to Moree to tackle the Boomerangs.
