Students from Holy Trinity and MacIntyre High Schools have competed at the Rotary District 9660 Public Speaking event at the Inverell RSM Club last night.
Hannah Bourke and Jacqui Paton from Holy Trinity along with Macintyre High schools’ students Mitchell Hollands, Olivia Madden and Maryanne Otieno gave a maximum 5 minute presentation on their chosen topic which in some way incorporates one or more aspects of the Rotary Four Way Test.
The Four-Way Test is a test used by Rotarians world-wide as a moral code for personal and business relationships.
Hannah Bourke was awarded the win following her speech which centred on the impact of words on people and will now advance to the Area level competition next month.
The Area winner will then advance to the District Semi Final in November with District Final to be held at the District Conference in Narrabri on the weekend of 15-16 March 2025.
