Gwydir’s representative cricket team have defeated Narrabri in the 2nd round of the Connelly Cup at Gwydir Oval in Bingara yesterday.
Batting first Gwydir amassed 8/213 with captain Luke Smith hitting 77 and Scott Pleffer 34.
In reply Narrabri lost early wickets to be on the backfoot to eventually be bowled out for 171.
Gwydir’s Luke Watton was the pick of the bowlers claiming 4 wickets while Narrabri’s Mitch Ford performed well with bat and ball, claiming 4 wickets and scoring 37
