Group 19 Rugby League

The Tingha Tigers Ladies League Tag team continue to show dominance in the field after trouncing the Inverell Hawks in Group 19 action over the weekend.

The Hawks Ladies League Tag put up a mighty fight but were unable to match the skill and experience of the Tingha side, failing to post a score with Tingha winning the day 50-0. In other games, the Bingara Bullets proved too strong against Narwan Eels 26-8, while the Moree Boomerangs just fell short against the Warialda Wombats, going down 18-14. Glen Innes Magpies won on forfeit over the Walcha Roos.

In the U18s games Glen Innes once again won on a forfeit but this time against the Narwan Eels, while the Inverell Hawks played a tight game but missed out toppling the strong Warialda side, with a 24-12 loss.

Meanwhile in the Men’s Premier League match between the Hawks and the Tigers, it was a high scoring game with Inverell coming out on top with a 44-32 win, while Bingara dealt a mighty blow to Narwan taking the game 52-22, and Warialda are proving to the be the side to watch after downing the Boomerangs 48-12.
