Uralla Shire Council has reminded residents to be wary about what they put in their recycle bins after an increase in green waste being dumped in bins across the shire.
Council says as the weather cools down and leaves start to fall, placing green waste into recycle bins can cause contamination.
Residents are reminded that green waste does not go in yellow recycling bins while some older green-lidded recycling bins are still around and should be used for clean recyclables only.
Garden clippings, leaves or branches up to a wheelie bin amount can be dropped off for FREE at the Uralla and Bundarra Waste Facilities.
