Gwydir Shire Council has enforced water restrictions to residents living in Gravesend.
A mechanical issue with Gravesend water supply is limiting capacity to pump water resulting in reservoir levels falling to a critical level where action needs be taken.
Water usage is restricted to household use only and the use of sprinklers or fixed handheld hoses is prohibited while residents required to restrict their use of water to the household only to conserve supply.
Council state the restrictions will be in place until the 9th July with local contractors engaged to rectify the issue
