The Inverell Saints will tackle the Tamworth Swans for a third consecutive year for the AFL Northwest Men’s Premiership after the Swans ran away from the New England Nomads in Saturday’s Preliminary Final at Wolseley Oval to record a 48-point win.
8 points separated the two teams at ¾ time before the Swans kicked 6 unanswered goals in the final term to register a 15.21 111 to 9.9.63 win.
Meantime, the Gunnedah Poochettes will face the Inverell Saints for the fourth consecutive time in a grand final after they thumped the Tamworth Kangaroos 14.13.97 to 1.1.7.
The Poochettes had 9 separate goal scorers as they prepared for the big one this weekend.
Saturday’s fixture will see the Inverell Saints women face the Gunnedah Poochettes at 12 noon followed by the men’s Grand Final between the Inverell Saints and the Tamworth Swans at 2pm
