Australia’s toughest one day cycle classic, the ‘Grafton to Inverell’ has received a date change and will now be incorporated into a national 6 race series.
The 64th running of the great race will now be run on Saturday March 15th and will feature as part of the new ProVelo Super League, which kicks off this weekend in South Australia, with Australia’s leading riders battling for the honour of victory.
ProVelo Super League Co-Founder Matt Wilson says to include the Squadron Energy Grafton to Inverell in their inaugural season calendar is a great privilege and they’re looking forward to bringing the PSL to the region and seeing how teams and riders fare on this gruelling course.
Inverell Cycle Club President Dan Wilks says the changes hope to engage a new following to cycling and will bring the very best cyclists from around the country and possibly the world into Inverell.
He says the race format will remain the same as previous years.
