The New England Week of Golf concluded over the weekend in Inverell with local golfers performing well.
Inverell’s Jeff Roberts scored a two-point win over fellow local golfer Steve Kent in the Men’s 36 hole competition while Toukley golfer Therese Stevens claimed the Women’s event on a countback from Trudie Lawes from Bargara.
Inverell golfers Jim Shadlow and Sandy Cook won their respective Scratch events while Wallacia golfer Martin Berg claimed the men’s 75 year and over event and Kathryn Guyer from Bulahdelah the ladies event.
95 players from 32 clubs from Victoria, NSW and Qld flocked into Inverell for the week.
