Glen Innes has notched up their first win of the Inverell Cricket season, upsetting Campbell and Freebairn Rebels at Cameron Park on Saturday in Round 4 action.
Batting first, the visitors amassed 4/259 from their 40 overs with Aaron Sherritt continuing his good form with an inbeaten 79 while Kahn Johnson made 70.
A short rain delay reduced the game to 36 overs and a new target of 234 with Rebels making a good fist of the run chase.
A century from Dave Mudaliar and 55 from Nicholas Ben was not enough for Rebels, posting 7/218.
In the other game, Staggy Creek kept their winning form intact with a 9 wicket win over Square and Compass.
Set 147 for victory, unbeaten knocks from Staggy Creek’s Mick Kenny with 75 and Rohan Gust with 41, guided their team to victory.
