Over 170 students from 7 schools participated in this year’s Science & Engineering Challenge Event at the Inverell RSM Club on Friday.
Students from Ashford central, Inverell Public School, Macintyre High School, Inverell high School, Holy Trinity school Glen Innes High School and Tenterfield High Schools worked in groups to challenge teamwork and cooperation in a STEM setting to solve various challenges.
Activities included bridge building, Eco habitat design, communications systems, wind turbine design, glider design, fish traps and workplace organization and electrical networking.
The winning team came from Glen Innes High School who have had a history of being successful at the event and were closely followed by Holy Trinity School and Macintyre High.
Tenterfield High designed the best Bridge and Glen Innes the best Eco habitat.
