A brand-new ride-on mower has been freshly delivered to the Glen Innes Bowling Club, thanks to a $17,599 boost from the State Government under its latest Community Building Partnership round.
Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan visited the Bowlo to deliver the good news to club members, with the grant also being used towards purchasing 40 new aluminium seats for players and spectators around their two bowling greens.
Mr Moylan says the Glen Innes Bowling Club is a popular social hub in Glen Innes, and the grant would ensure the sport of bowls and the facilities could be enjoyed for years to come.
Secretary Manager Matt Jarrett says the purchase of the new ride-on lawn mower will reduce the time and burden on their amazing team of volunteers that keep the Clubhouse and surrounds looking great all year round.
