The Inverell Girl Guides have been doing their bit for Ronald McDonald House again as they continue to raise money to purchase toilet rolls for the charity organisation.
Girl Guides District Manager Beth Hamilton says this fundraising initiative has been running for around 10 years except for the covid years when they couldn’t get their hands on toilet rolls.
Mrs Hamilton says they managed to raise their funds through holding a disco and collecting recyclable cans and bottles adding anyone with cans and bottles can donated them to the Inverell Girl Guides.
The Guides were able to purchase 33 packets of toilet rolls, containing 676 rolls for Ronald McDonald House.
Their next fundraiser will take place on Sunday 27th October when they host a fun afternoon of cricket at Victoria Park called Painting the Park Pink for the Inverell Breast Cancer support group.
