The Gilgai Public School community are reeling from a weekend break in which saw the school vandalised and damaged.
Just after 9.30am on Sunday, police were called to the school on Woodford Place, following reports of a break and enter.
Officers attached to New England Police District were told between 4.45pm last Friday and 2pm on Saturday, a classroom was broken into before it was vandalised.
Police believe there were no items stolen from the school.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
