The NSW Electoral Commission is reminding the community that registration for prospective candidates considering running at this September’s Local Government elections and those needing to be enrolled on the electoral roll, that this needs to be done by 6pm this Monday
The Commission state on their website that their online nominations system is available now and encourage candidates to get to know the system and prepare their nomination
Meantime, Australian citizens who are 18 years of age are entitled to enrol at an address in NSW at which they have resided for at least one month by visiting the Australian Electoral Commission website or by calling 13 23 26.
The commission says voting in local government elections is 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 for all voters on the residential roll.
