A local woman has assumed the role of an Ambassador with Migraine Australia for the New England Northwest.
Megan Gaukroger has also taken on the National Volunteer Coordinator role for the organisation and is in charge of the volunteer workforce.
This month being Migraine Awareness Month, Ms Gaukroger wants to bring awareness that a migraine isn’t simply a headache, adding there are several types of migraines which affects 4.9 million Australians.
A Hemiplegic migraine sufferer herself, she says the month is an opportunity for the community to understand and assist migraine sufferers.
Megan’s enthusiasm is second to none. She puts a lot of time into Migraine Australia and we are so thankful for all she does
