There’s been a recall on a fuel filter sold nationally at Repco Auto Parts stores which may cause serious injury.
GPC Asia Pacific has issued a recall on the OEX EFI Inline fuel filter, which is sold separately and in the certain Repco filter service kits, due to the filter’s thread being too long, creating a gap when fitted and allowing fuel to leak.
The filter, which is suited to various model Fords, Isuzu, Lotus, and MG vehicles, poses a risk of serious injury or death and/or property damage if fuel leaks in the presence of an ignition source and catches fire.
Consumers should immediately return the item to the place of purchase or installation to have the fuel filter inspected and will be offered a free replacement.
