While most Aussies were focused on the NRL Grand Final on Sunday, former Tingha and Parramatta league star Bevan French was busy helping the Wigan Warriors advance into the Super League Grand Final.
In his 100th appearance for the Warriors, French scored a try and was again instrumental in the 38-0 win over Leigh with Coach Matt Peat labelling French a special player with an unbelievable talent.
The result sets up a grand final meeting between Wigan and Hull Kingston Rovers next week at Old Trafford this weekend.
French and the Warriors will be aiming to underline their dominance by winning all four trophies in the calendar year after claiming the World Club Challenge, the Challenge Cup and the League Leaders’ Shield.
