Free First Aid to Help Delungra Residents

Farmers and rural residents are invited to a free first aid workshop designed to equip them with life-saving skills and practical emergency response techniques tailored to rural environments.

Muster Up Delungra Incorporated, thanks to funding from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, is hosting this hands-on training session to address the unique challenges of providing first aid in remote areas where medical help may be delayed.

Location: Delungra Hotel Date: Wednesday 11 June 2025 Time: 9.00am – 4.00pm Cost: FREE (Registrations essential)
The workshop will cover topics such as:
Managing trauma and injuries common in agricultural settings
Responding to emergencies such as spinal injuries when professional help is far away
CPR and AED use
Poisonings, quad roll overs, and farm machinery incidents

Leah Bennett, chairperson of Muster Up Delungra says “Timely first aid can mean the difference between life and death in rural settings. This workshop is a great opportunity for farmers, farm workers, and Delungra residents to gain confidence in responding to medical emergencies.”
The training will be delivered by Jamie Day, who has 20 years’ nursing experience and has worked in all areas of health care.”

Spots are limited. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure a place and Muster Up Delungra will prioritise residents living in the Delungra area.
