A former Tingha resident has hit the jackpot after winning a home in Noosa valued at over $3 million following a Yourtown Prize Homes draw.

Colleen Cameron, who grew up in Tingha and still has family in the area, had her lucky number drawn out earlier this month after 10 years of buying tickets through the Your Town Prize Mones competition which supports children in need.

Ms Cameron says as news ran around Tingha that someone had struck it lucky, family members considered the news as a hoax before she revealed to her aunty that she was the lucky winner

Ms Cameron, who is a FIFO worker at the Snowy Mountains, says she’s already moved in and enjoying the home.
