First Snowfalls in the Region

by | Jun 10, 2025 | Weather | 0 comments

The first snow falls were recorded around the region over the long weekend with Guyra and Ben Lomond receiving a sprinkling.

The Bureau of Meteorology says a complex low pressure system drove a large pool of polar air over southeastern Australia on Friday and Saturday driving a cold snap over the long weekend which brought heavy and low-level snow.

Cold weather will linger for much of the coming week with snow showers becoming confined to alpine resorts from today.

A Sheep graziers is current for cold temperatures, rain and showers and westerly today for parts of the Northern Tablelands with a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
