NSW Rural Fire Service crews supported by aircraft, local landowners, Uralla Shire Council and NSW Police worked hard to contain a grass fire at Yarrowyck, approximately 27km east of Kingstown over the weekend.
Firefighters worked hard to control a grass fire which was burning on both sides of Torryburn Road west of the Thunderbolts Way with the fire rating level reaching Watch and Act yesterday.
Firefighters gained the upper hand yesterday afternoon with the alert level downgraded to Advice and the fire now under control.
