Inverell Police are investigating the theft of a firearm from a residence in Kents Road at Delungra last week.
Police say sometime between last Wednesday to Saturday, a firearm was stolen from the residence while the occupants were away.
The occupant will face Inverell Local Court 13/11/25 in relation to firearm safe storage breaches and failing to notify police of the firearm storage address.
Inspector with Inverell Police Bale Keating says this is a timely reminder for registered firearm owners to ensure they comply with safe storage requirements, in addition to keeping up to date records with the firearms registry regarding the storage address of their firearms.
Anyone with information regarding the theft of the firearm is asked to call Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
