Bundarra couple Mitch and Tanya Orchard have recently returned from their Drover’s Run 4×4 Outback Adventure, after raising much needed funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
The Drover’s Run Group, made up of 14 vehicles and 2 support vehicles, set out on a 16 day outback adventure, going through towns and locations such as Hungerford, Birdsville, The Simpson Desert as well as Mount Isa and Charleville.
The group managed to exceed its target, raising over $100,000 towards the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, with Orchards winning a perpetual trophy in raising the most funds in the group at over $21,000 against a $5000 target.
Tanya says the fund-raising initiative would not be possible without the generosity of locals and businesses in the Inverell Shire.
