A 32-year-old man has lost his licence for 6 months after being caught speeding on the Gwydir Hwy at Warialda on Wednesday night during a police operation earlier this week in Warialda, Ashford, Yetman, Bundarra and Tingha.
At about 7:30, during a patrol of Warialda, police detected a blue Ford Falcon travelling at high speed.
The offending vehicle was later stopped on Gwydir Hwy at Warialda in a 100km/h zone.
The driver was issued a traffic infringement for exceed speed limit over 45kph, fined almost $3000 and had his licence suspended for 6 months.
During Phase two of the Inverell Sector operation, police from the sectors conducted licence premises inspections, Bail Compliance Checks, Person searches, Vehicle searches, 2 drug detections, various traffic infringements, mobile RBT, and various enquiries to locate an outstanding offender in the area.
