Former Inverell GP and surgeon who made international news in 1979 will be back in Inverell later this month.
Dr Richard Arnot will be the special guest at an Inverell RSCPA fundraiser at the Riverside Restaurant on Monday 26th August at 6pm where he will detail his life experiences that has taken him around the world.
Dr Arnot was embroiled in a scandal which involved the deaths of British nurse Helen Smith and Dutch tugboat captain Johannes Otten and a notorious party held in his apartment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1979 which saw Dr Arnot serve time in a Saudi prison.
He says the events of that night still remain with him to this day.
Tickets for An Evening with Richard Arnot are $75 and need to be purchased by tomorrow for catering purposes.
