Dr Arnot Back In Inverell

Former Inverell GP and surgeon who made international news in 1979 will be back in Inverell this evening.

Dr Richard Arnot will be the special guest at an Inverell RSCPA fundraiser at the Riverside Restaurant tonight where he will detail his life experiences that has taken him around the world.

Dr Arnot was embroiled in a scandal which involved the deaths of British nurse Helen Smith and Dutch tugboat captain Johannes Otten and a notorious party held in his apartment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1979 which saw Dr Arnot serve time in a Saudi prison.

In his second book, The Virgin Chicken – Adventures of a Travelling Surgeon; Richard has penned his life as a Doctor and Surgeon. Sharing his dramatic incidents, international intrigue, medical stories and life experiences.

An Evening with Richard Arnot will kick off this evening at 6pm
