A huge crowd is expected for this Sunday’s Group 19 Grand Final when the Inverell Hawks tackle the Tingha Tigers at Varley Oval.
It’s reported that this will be the first time since the 1950’s that the Hawks and Tigers will clash in a grand final with the Hawks going in as favourite in Sunday’s decider, but 1st grade coach Jamie McCormack expects yet another tough encounter.

Meantime Tigers Captain Brayden Vickery says they’ve learned a bit from their major semi-final loss to the hawks and remains confident of taking out the premiership.

Group 19 Grand Final day kicks off on Sunday at 10am with the Junior grade decider between Glen Innes and Uralla, followed by the ladies League Tag clash between 3-time premiers Tingha Tigers against the Moree Boomerang, the Warialda Wombats clash against the Boomerangs in Reserve grade while the first-grade grand final will kick off at 2:30pm.
