Delungra shearer Tom Retallack has taken out the $15,000 first prize at the inaugural Pally Speed Shear on Saturday.
Retallack managed to beat more than 80 shearers from around Australia and New Zealand with New Zealander Jimmy Samuels finishing runners up.
In the Seniors event, Dushant Edmonds claimed the event while Jumbo took out the Intermediate Speed Shear.
Speaking to Moree Online News, Retallack praised the organisers for putting the event together The Pally Speed Shear also raised thousands of dollars for the National Breast Cancer Foundation with an exact figure to be known in the next couple of days
