The Inverell RSL Sub-Branch will observe its Modern Day Conflicts Commemoration and Memorial Dedication tomorrow afternoon
Veterans will march from the corner of Otho and Evans St to the new Modern Day Conflicts memorial situated at the corner of Evans and Lawrence Streets.
During the commemoration, the new memorial dedication will be unveiled which has various colors with the top tier being grey which represents the confusion of war, black on the bottom tier to represent the darkness of war with all the marble used in the memorial coming from Australia.
Sub-Branch Committee member and former President Pat McMahon says it’s the first modern day conflict memorial to be built in Australia to honour our modern veterans.
Modern Day Conflicts Commemoration and Memorial Dedication will start at 4pm tomorrow with veterans advised to form up at the vacant block at the corner of Evans and Otho street
