The annual Salvation Army Toy Run and Poker Run takes place this Saturday with organisers hoping for a sleigh load of toys to give to those families facing hardship at the moment.
The Toy Run has been going for at least 35 years with Inverell bikers taking to the road to deliver toys to kids and the young at heart.
Donations of toys and gifts can be dropped off before Saturday at Prices Plus, Borthwick & Butler Solicitors, the Reject Shop, Price Busters, Sportspower/Toyworld, Campbell & Freebairn Chemists, Avon MacIntyre Solicitors, Delungra Hotel and the Salvation Army Store
Zoll MacIntryre from the Viking Breed Social Motorcycle Club says bikes will be gathering at the Country Kitchen in Otho St with the Run beginning at around 10am, proceeding into the CBD, dropping off toys at Inverell Motorcycles and then commencing their Poker Run.
Registrations for the Poker Run will be taken on Saturday morning at 8:30 at a costs of $25 with the trip going through Ashford, Coolatai, Warialda and Delungra with Mr MacIntyre saying cards will be drawn at each stop with the best hand following the 5 tops being declared the winner
