A community event aimed at raising funds for the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group, Inverell Prostate Cancer Support Group and Operation Operating Room will take place for the first time next month.
The Inverell Charity Run 2026, comprising a 10km run, 5km run and 2.5km walk commencing and concluding at Campbell Park on Sunday 23rd of August.
Much of the event will be held on footpaths/shared paths, however there is a small section of the 10km run and 2.5km walk that will require a temporary closure of a section of Buxton/Raglan Street to facilitate participant safety.
Inverell Shire Mayor Kate Dight says the Inverell Charity Run 2026 presents an opportunity to support a community led fundraising initiative that promotes health, wellbeing and charitable giving within the Inverell community.
