Inverell Shire Council has recently completed a comprehensive review of a series of key policies, reflecting its commitment to good governance, community wellbeing, and transparent service delivery.
Following detailed briefing sessions with Councillors, fifteen updated policies were formally adopted at last week’s Ordinary Council Meeting.
The following policies were presented and adopted:
Consumption of Alcohol in Parks and Reserves
Conferences Attended Annually
Designated Persons
Council Meeting Business Papers – Public Availability
Community Mowers Policy
Council Plant Assistance to Non-Profit Local Organisations
Deferred Payment Arrangements for DSP & Construction Charges
Key Management Personnel – Related Party Transactions Policy
Library Deposit Stations Policy
Library Public Electronic Services Policy
Rates and Water Refunds Policy
Rates Near Water Trunk Mains Policy
Reprinting of Rates or Water Notices
Smoke Free Outdoor Public Places Policy
Water Charges – Dialysis Policy
In adopting all fifteen policies as presented, Council is paving the way for consistent and effective implementation across departments.
