Final preparations and rehearsals are being made for the Sapphire City Concert Band’s reciprocal visit to Ballina mid-September.
This will be the band’s first external visit to Ballina, to play in a combined concert with the Ballina Shire Concert Band, who visited Inverell last year as part of their 140th anniversary concert tour.
The band has a busy schedule lined up for the 2 days while in Ballina including a Saturday evening concert comprising of both individual and combined performances with the Ballina Band being held at St Mary’s Church, followed by a matinee concert on the Sunday at the Cherry St Sports Club.
The band will be setting off for Ballina in the early hours on Saturday 14th September.
